1,000 Days of Expressing God’s Love at School

High Desert, CA

This is a three-year campaign to enrich the lives of over 74,000 students, educators and staff within the 84 public schools of the High Desert area by helping the schools appropriately and lawfully include teaching about Judeo-Christian history, thought, and values. Within the context of constitutionally-defined parameters, the campaign promotes academic freedom, freedom of religious expression, and encourages local churches to bless their public schools in word and deed.

You can join the campaign by personally carrying the message of academic and religious freedom to your schools and by getting involved in the various school-related programs listed below:

Participating Church Ministries

Moms In Touch

Moms In Touch International has 150,000 women worldwide who pray for their children’s and grandchildren’s schools. It is made up of two or more moms from the same school who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children, their schools, their teachers, and administrators.

To join an existing group or start one at your school, contact the Southern California State Coordinator, Sue Mooney, at mitisoca@momsintouch.org.

Good News Clubs

A Good News Club involves boys and girls ages 5 through 12 who gather with their friends at school after school hours to sing songs, play games, hear Bible stories, and learn about children around the world who are following Jesus.

There are currently Good News Clubs in 15 elementary schools in the High Desert. For more information on helping an existing club or starting one at your school, contact Maggie Carlton at carlton4@integrity.com or call (760) 868-1897.

Fellowship and Christian Encouragement (FACE) for Educators

FACE is a national organization of nearly 1,000 chapters and 11,000 educators who meet weekly within their schools to encourage, motivate, and support each other through fellowship, discussions, Bible reading, and prayer. Joining or starting a chapter is free. For more information, visit www.prayingeducator.org.

See You At The Pole (SYATP)

In 2006, it will take place on Wednesday, September 27 at 7AM (suggested local time)
